피아트가 신흥국을 겨냥한 차세대 소형세단 에게 프로젝트(FIAT Aegea Project)를 터키 2015 이스탄불 모터쇼에 공개했다. 리네아(Linea)를 대체할 후속 모델로 개발된 에게는 길이 4.5m, 너비 1.78m, 높이 1.48m, 휠베이스 2.64m로 현대 아반떼와 비슷한 사이즈지만 트렁크 공간이 510L에 달할 정도로 공간 활용성이 훌륭하다. 파워트레인은 95~120마력에 이르는 2종의 가솔린과 2종의 멀티젯 디젤 터보 엔진에 수동과 자동변속기를 조합해 구성했다. 에게는 다치아 로간, 스코다 라피드와 경쟁하며 오는 11월 유럽을 시작으로 중동과 아프리카 등 전세계 40여 개국에 출시될 예정이다. 아직 구체적인 스펙과 가격은 공개되지 않았다.
